Executive Board of Directors

teamwork iconThe OWL Board of Directors is an integral part of furthering the agency’s mission, vision and goals, helping to ensure the safety and well-being of youth and families served. The Board is responsible for a variety of functions, including, but not limited to:

  • Hiring and supporting the executive director.
  • Overseeing the strategic plan.
  • Actively participating with staff in the overall programmatic planning process.
  • Determining, monitoring and strengthening the organization’s programs and services.
  • Working in partnership with the executive director and development staff to raise funds.
  • Adopting an annual budget and ensuring proper financial controls are in place.
  • Ensuring legal and ethical integrity.
  • Recruiting and orienting new Board members, and assessing Board performance.
